«The style of…» today is for a diva of another era: Catherine Baba. An Australian madame who strolls the streets of Paris in an eccentric way, pedaling a bike with high heels, huge sunglasses, vintage coats and accessory excessiveness, if possible, on her head. Her fashion tip is: «Accessorize aggressively. You know, j’adore accessories. J’adore». She defines herself as «I’m a slave to accessories. Belts are my oxygen», and recommends that when you don’t know what to wear «Turban & GO!».

Although her style seems extremely bizarre and exotic, I must admit she has style. Baba is one of the most internationally recognized stylists, the favorite of Mario Testino and the one signing the best editorials on Vogue or Vanity Fair. Is it because she doesn’t leave anyone indifferent?

Una madame australiana que pasea por las calles de París de lo más excéntrica, pedaleando encima de una una bici con tacones de infarto, unas enormes gafas de sol, abrigos vintage y una excesividad de accesorios, a poder ser, en la cabeza. Su consejo sobre moda es: «Accessorize aggressively. You know, j’adore accessories. J’adore.”. Se define como “I’m a slave to accessories. Belts are my oxygen”, y recomienda que cuando no sepas qué ponerte «Turban & GO!«.

A pesar de que su estilo me parece extremadamente rocambolesco y exótico, debo admitir que tiene estilo. Y es que Baba es una de las estilistas más reconocidas a nivel internacional, de las favoritas de Mario Testino y la que firma los mejores editoriales de Vogue o Vanity Fair. ¿Será porque no deja a nadie indiferente?
