#NoHayVeranoSinFormentera, o eso dicen. Así que allí fuimos con mis amigas, por primera vez. Tengo que admitir que me quedé con ganas de conocerla más íntimamente, sin estar llena de italianos, de motos «suicidas», y de la crème de la crème. ¿Será que soy más hippie de lo que creía?
Lo que sí que despertó en mí esta pequeña isla a la deriva -o eso dice la leyenda urbana-, fue ese espíritu gypsy wild free que se desprende de cada lugar al que vas, sea naturaleza, o no. Hasta el tiempo parece que se detiene. Solo me apetecían vestidos vaporosos, mi pamela para resguardarme del sol -¡qué calor!- y mi inseparable cesto. El resto, libertad y sin rumbo. No me extraña que la gente se vaya allí a desconectar, o quizá, huyendo de algo. ¿Volveremos en temporada baja? Quién sabe…
pd – Y que no me maten los #formenteralovers, pero de las Pitiüses, creo que mi isla sigue siendo Menorca ;)
♥ Hoy me siento… Stairway to heaven de Led Zeppelin
#ThereIsNoSummerWithoutFormentera, or so they say. So there we went with my friends, for the first time. I must admit that I wished to know the island more intimately, without being full of Italians, motorcycle «suicides», and the crème de la crème. Could it be that I am more hippie than I thought?
What did awaken in me this small island to drift, -as the urban-legend says-, was the gypsy wild free spirit that emerges from every place you go, be it nature or not. Even time seems to stop. I craved just sheer dresses, my pamela to shelter from the sun -what heat!- and my inseparable basket. The rest, freedom and aimless. No wonder people go there to unwind, or perhaps running from something. Will we come back in off season? Who knows…
