Islandia, tierra de nadie. Campos inmensos de absolutamente nada. Todo inmerso en niebla misteriosa. El horizonte al fondo, pero ni se ve. Andas y andas y nunca parece acercarse a ti. Caminando por gravilla negra, en medio de lo que podría ser el desierto de Arizona o incluso seguramente algo parecido a Marte, a 8km desde la Ring Road, encontramos los restos del US Navy DC-4 plane crash de 1973. Afortunadamente, todo supervivientes. No me puedo imaginar la sensación que tuvieron: ese miedo de aterrizar en la nada absoluta pero con esa sensación extraña de paz interior que transmite Islandia.
