A pesar de que medio mundo es muy fan del estilo de Kate Middleton, nosotras no siempre le damos el visto bueno. Creemos que suele vestir muy elegante y dentro de protocolo, pero muchas veces sus outfits le suman años. Sobre todo las medias que lleva y los zapatos que nunca acierta… ¡Y nos da rabia porque la duquesa de Cambridge nos encanta por su naturalidad y su cercanía!

Pero esta vez, queremos decirle que sí ha acertado, ¡y mucho! A pesar de que dicen que en su maleta llevaba prendas por un valor de 50.000€, y no vamos a entrar en si nos parece bien o mal con la de gente que se muere de hambre; en su tour por la India y Bután, Kate y su estilista Helen Canning nos han dado una clase magistral de estilismos a la altura de una futura reina, intentando respetar el contexto de la cultura del país que visita, dando un giro a sus looks con una explosión de colores y vestidos estampados que le devuelven su frescura y alegría.

Entre nuestros preferidos, de 11 el outfit que llevó luciendo la falda típica butanesa que combinó con una blusa capa bordada de Paul&Joe que nos encanta. De 10 son los de estampados geométricos chic, tanto el vestido midi en blue & white de Naeem Khan que llevó para su visita al Taj Mahal; así como el del vestido de gala de black & nude firmado por Temperley London. Y qué decir del vestido casual de la diseñadora de Mumbai Anita Dongre que la duquesa llevó complementado con un collar de flores durante un partido de cricket; y del vestido casual estampado de Topshop que lució para su visita al parque nacional de Kaziranga. En cuanto a colores, nos encanta cómo le favorece el color mint, diseño también de Temperley, y el vestido de gala de pedrería azul Klein diseño de Jenny Packham, que aún y siendo arriesgado por su «brilli brilli», le sienta de maravilla. Aún así, los zapatos siguen siendo su asignatura pendiente. Por fin se atreve con los flats durante el día, y sus stilettos son muy elegantes, pero a sus cuñas de alpargata les falta un toque trendy.

A veces el truco está en sentirse a gusto con lo que uno lleva, y creemos que en esta ocasión ha sido la clave de que esté radiante en (casi) todas sus apariciones. Os dejamos con las que más nos han gustado ;)

Although half world is a big fan of Kate Middleton’s style, we don’t always give the nod. She usually dresses very elegant and within protocol, but often her outfits add years on her. Especially when she’s wearing stockings and those shoes she never gets right… And it’s a shame because we love the Duchess of Cambridge for her naturalness and proximity!

But this time, we want to say yes you got it so right! Although they say that in her suitcase she was wearing garments worth €50,000, and we will not get into whether we feel good or bad with this when people are starving; in her India and Bhutan tour, Kate and her stylist Helen Canning gave us a master class in outfits worthy for a future Queen, trying to respect the context of the culture of the country she visits, and making a twist to her looks with an explosion of colors and print dresses that return her freshness and joy.

Amongst our favorites, the outfit wearing the typical Bhutanese skirt that she matches with an embroided blouse cape by Paul&Joe that we love is an 11. Of a 10 are the chic geometric prtins, both in the blue & white Naeem Khan midi dress she wore in her visit to the Taj Mahal; as well as the black & nude gown signed by Temperley London. And what about the casual dress designed by the Mumbai-born Anita Dongre that the Duchess complemented with a floral necklace during a cricket match; and the Topshop casual print dress she wore for her visit to the Kaziranga National Park. As for colors, we love how mint color looks on her in a design also by Temperley, and the Klein blue rhinestones gown designed by Jenny Packham, still being it risky for it’s «glare» it looks great on her. Still, her shoes are still not enough. She finally dares with flats during the day, and her stilettos are very stylish, but her espadrille wedges lack a trendy touch.

Sometimes the trick is to feel comfortable with what one wears, and we believe that this has been the key this time because she is radiant in (almost) all her appearances. We leave you with the ones we liked most ;)
